Hey There!
I'm Taylor Yount, an accessibility professional, advocate, and award-winning author. Scroll down to discover the person behind the work and how I connect with accessibility, community, and creativity beyond the business.
Meet the Founder
Taylor brings over a decade of hands-on experience supporting accessibility across a wide range of organizations, including universities, for-profit businesses, and community groups.
She founded T.Y. Accessibility to advocate for inclusivity and to create meaningful pathways for individuals with diverse abilities to participate fully in business and community life.
T.Y. Accessibility offers professionals and business owners a comprehensive range of services designed to identify and remove barriers to access. These include awareness training, content enhancement, event planning, digital marketing, and community engagement — each tailored to your organization's specific needs, both in person and virtual.
Accessibility is more than a compliance requirement — it is a proven driver of business growth. When businesses are fully accessible, they expand their reach, strengthen community relationships, and create new opportunities for economic participation.
Partnering with T.Y. Accessibility provides the practical tools and clear strategies needed to make accessibility a seamless and sustainable part of how you do business.
Beyond the Business
Poetry - T.Y. Writes
As an award-winning poet, I share my story of recovery and resilience one poetic verse at a time. Debuting my first poetry collection, My Sutured Mind: Poems of Healing Beyond Trauma, featuring illustrations by Veta Bakhtina, this past summer. Join me as I continue on this journey as an author, writer, and advocate for accessibility in the literary world.
To explore my poetry, learn about my published works, or inquire about readings, visit my dedicated T.Y. Writes page here on the site. It is a space created for authors, poets, and creatives. It is also where I share blog writings and resources to make the literary world more accessible, because everyone with a story deserves the chance to tell it.

Community Involvement

Not only do I help businesses thrive with accessibility, but I also provide better access to the community as well. You’ll find me connecting with the local Chamber of Commerce, volunteer groups, and various community events around the area. The best thing for yourself as a professional is stay rooted in why we do this work. Whether it’s running a small business, showcasing your craft, or even just being an ambassador to support your area.
From testing all-terrain beach wheelchairs, trail maintenance to keep it accessible, to sitting on panels sharing my experiences, I champion the need for better access in every part of the community.

Photography
Beyond writing and consulting, photography is one of my greatest creative outlets — a way to stay grounded, present, and connected to the world around me. Through my lens, I capture the small but meaningful wonders that often go unnoticed, sharing my unique perspective one snapshot at a time.
Occasionally, my work finds its way into local shows, but at its core, photography remains a deeply personal practice: a quiet reminder to slow down and appreciate the beauty in everyday moments.
I will be sharing select photos in my upcoming newsletter and blog, offering a glimpse into the world as I see it. Stay tuned!
